An Easter Story Part 2

Hey, everyone. Vivienne here again with part two of our Easter report from Pleasant Valley.

Saige and I went to lunch with our families. Jenna went back to her house across the street. We could hardly wait to get back home to see what the Easter Bunny had left for us.

"Holy crabs!" I yelled. "Can you believe this?"

Saige and I were in total awe. So much new stuff for us!

"I got a new pony!" Saige showed me the newest addition to her My Little Pony collection.

"It looks like I got a book about Rarity." I looked inside my basket. "She is so best pony."

"And a new Lalaloopsy!" I was super excited about that one. She's even my favorite color, which happens to be pink.

Pretty cool, huh?

"I got a book about Rainbow Dash, speaking of best pony." Saige grinned at me. We always debate about which pony is the best.

"And I got another Lalaloopsy doll. This one is dressed for spring!" I held it up to show Saige.

"But why is there a third Easter basket?" Saige asked.

"It's not for Jenna," I said. "She texted me while we were at lunch and said her basket was waiting for her when she got home."

"Then..." A familiar voice said, "it must be for me."

"Violet!"

It was my cousin Violet from New Orleans!

"That's right!" Violet smiled. "Meatloaf and I have come to stay with you for a while."

I could hardly believe it.

"Look, I brought you something," Violet said. It was an American Girl doll.

"Samantha!" I put the new doll and her book on the table where we could all three admire her. "I've wanted her for so long. I can't believe you got me such a perfect gift."

"It's a cousin thing," Violet said. Somehow, I knew exactly what she meant.

"Having you here makes this day perfect," I told Violet.

"The three of us are going to have so much fun together." I looked from Violet to Saige.

A Samantha doll of my very own, my best friend, and my special cousin...I think this was the best Easter ever.

Love,

Vivienne

An Easter Story Part 1

Hi everyone, Vivienne here.

I thought you all might enjoy seeing some pics of our Easter celebrations here in Pleasant Valley, especially those here at 1211 Winter Lane.

My best friend Saige and my neighbor Jenna were over before daybreak, helping me finish my chocolate bunnies.

Saige took over the egg decorating.

I was nervous because I hadn't even had time to do my hair yet, but I had to stand over the stove and melt the chocolate for the bunnies.

But finally, everything was finished!

"I guess we should put the finished eggs into the basket," Saige said.

"Yeah!" I reached across the table to give Jenna a high five. "Then the Easter Bunny can hide them while we're at lunch!"

"Saige, you did a great job decorating the eggs," said Jenna.

"Thanks!" Saige smiled. "I enjoy doing anything artistic."

Finally, the eggs were in the basket, and we left for lunch.

Meanwhile, in the parlor, the historical girls time traveled to gather for an Easter tea. I figure they used something like this:

Maybe one of them has a sonic screwdriver or something, too. I suspect Addy. Anyway.

They had tons of treats set up in there. Felicity was a little disappointed about the lack of a chocolate set, but her tea lessons came in handy. She poured!

Josefina arrived in her mother's special shawl, and Marie-Grace brought her doll.

"I'll take cream and two lumps of sugar, please," said Addy. I think Henri the pug took a special liking to her.

"Everything looks delicious!" Addy took a cup and saucer. "I hardly know what to try first!"

"Thank you for minding my doll while I stepped away," Marie-Grace said to Josefina. "May I offer you a cupcake?"

Stay tuned for part two!

Tutu Alternative

We're slowly building a collection for Isabelle, although we don't expect to get her until December. I like to save wherever I can, and sometimes I find a plushie to use as an AG pet instead of the official version.

This Ganz Lil'Kinz Persian was just under $4.00 on Amazon today. Free shipping if she was part of an order for $25.00 or more. Since I was on Amazon to order some vegetarian pantry staples, the minimum for free shipping was taken care of.

So, meet our version of Tutu! I plan to craft a fabulous collar for her.

Mini Mania

Anyone else collect the AG mini dolls? I think I want to get in on that. To me, one of the things that dollhouses lack are doll residents with personality. I could see having a dollhouse with AG mini residents and it having soul.

Do you have a house for your minis? Tell me more.

Tea And Treats In The Parlor

Cecile is having tea and treats in the parlor.

Amie, her doll, is ready for tea time.

Henri the Pug heard there were treats on the table.

He wants some, too!

Thanks for visiting Pleasant Valley!
